I didn''t put on a pound while I was on holiday this summer (woohoo!) but since we got back I''ve become a bit complacent and have gone a bit podgy. My jeans are getting tight so I know I need to nip this in the bud! I learned to run this year (finally finished a couch to 5k programme!) so my plan is 2 or 3, 30-60 minute runs a week plus Tracy Anderson''s Metamorphosis 3 or 4 times a week. The key for me though is to track my food, so that''s what I''ll be doing daily. I''m planning to drop 12lbs over the next 12 weeks, which will get me to my goal by 24th November. This is 5lbs lighter than my usual happy weight however, that''s because I really want to finally rid myself of the excess fat I carry on my thighs. I''ll be measuring inches too so my weight loss goal is flexible - if I lose the inches and my thighs go from flabby and shapeless to firm and toned, that will do me, whatever the scales say!

Thanks for your comments on my blog about Miss Mollie. I can tell you truly understand. I could go on forever about how "human" Mollie is in our lives. She makes us smile and laugh, she fills out home with love and laughter, just like every other person in our family does. She is so smart and loving. I will miss her so dearly. I plan to do what I can while I can. I don't want her to suffer. We will make the best of each day that we have left. And we will appreciate all we had with her!

Thank you for your supportive comment on my blog, I really appreciate it very much!

I saw joggers too. I wanted to join them, but was so discouraged by the cold (it was only in the 40 degree F range until our last day there). My husband and I took work out clothes with the intentions of hitting the gym in the Mirage, but it never happened.

The break was good for my soul, but my body is sore and not performing as it was before. It is so easy to lose that edge that you work so hard for.

I will get it all back.
