It's a new year....2018. I am so glad that 2017 is firmly in my rearview mirror. It was not a good year -- a move to a new city, a new job that turned out to be severely disappointing, some new professional accomplishments, and the loss of the idea that I am the star in my own life. I let all sorts of external noise get between me and myself.

But 2018 is a chance to reset the scales. The whole year is an opportunity for success, adventure and happiness. And it all starts today!

Everything you said about public speaking is true. If I'm passionate about my topic, I'm fine in front of people I know. For some reason, speaking in front of professionals at the university makes me pray for a quick death! They are all smarter than me and such eloquent speakers. Oh Well! Maybe they will feel even better about themselves after listening to me! LOL

There must be new goodies! I don't remember seeing a monster truck! You probably didn't know that my baby brother used to do that for a living! LOL!

I'm OK with grunting, esp when you're working hard on your top set. It's the douche that grunts and groans for effect while just warming up.

Yeah I didn't even want to get into their form! That's what was great about Stasi guy....he made me get my form right with the weight we were working before ever moving up. It wasn't enough to make the rep...it had to be a good rep.

I get a kick out of watching the douches put 315 lbs onto a bar....then bend their knees 20 degrees and call it a squat!
