Intend to Lose.......

I am a 67 yr, old, married, retired, woman who loves animals, enjoys X-stitching, reading, and spending time with family - especially my grandchildren. I have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I volunteer at the local Humane Society and have 5 cats, all adopted from the humane society over a number of years. I need to lose weight to improve my health and prevent new health issues from occurring. I also want to lose weight in order to be happier with the way I look...pure vanity! For me, ...

For me, controlling my food intake and making good choices are daily struggles....but I am committed to getting back on track.

"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible.....
It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice.
Big things are built one brick at a time.
Victories are achieved one choice at a time.
A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!"
-Lysa TerKeurst

Be your own hero, one choice and one step at a time! You might not see visible signs of progress right away, but as long as you keep doing your best, you will make progress and you will be victorious! I'm rooting for you! Remember, you're worth your best effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

“The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful."
-Michael Josephson

Just dropping by to say hello, Sparkfriend! Remember, you don't have to be perfect on this journey in order to make progress! As long as you keep trying...and never quit...you are already a success! Keep doing your best, because you are worth the effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback—it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you.”

"Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it all you might.
Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality.
Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your objective. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."
~Jo Coudert

"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."
