Gaining Health

I'm focused on gaining health and in the process those extra pounds are dropping off! I weighed 359 lbs on Sept 1st, 2007. The first month I lost 9 lbs by dieting and it was torture! While praying about the struggle I got a sense that I should focus on gaining health and the weight would take care of itself. It has!

I have four things I do daily to gain health:

1. Drink lots of water
2. Exercise 45 minutes +, 6 days a week
3. Eat healthy foods ...

I have four things I do daily to gain health:

1. Drink lots of water
2. Exercise 45 minutes +, 6 days a week
3. Eat healthy foods (high percentage fruits and veggies and very limited processed foods).
4. Rest and recovery - give my body the sleep and recovery time it needs for the changes that are happening.

I'm down 102 pounds (as of October 8th) and excited about where this journey to health is taking me.

My Program:
I have four things I'm doing consistently to gain health.

1. Drink lots of water each day.
2. Eat healthy foods and snacks.
3. Exercise daily except one rest day each week.
4. Recovery and Rest - getting proper sleep and time to recover from workouts.

Personal Information:
We live in Simpsonville, SC where I am beginning Sabai Fitness, helping others in their weight loss journey.

We love travel, meeting new people, and now... exercise! I'm currently training for the Ironman 70.3 in August, GA on Sept 27th, 2009

I love writing blogs and enjoy cooking.

I really appreciate your kind words about my triathlon. I posted a short race report in the TRI team forum - my lame-o excuse is that I'm back into training - I'll probably du a duathon on Oct 25th (since TRI season is winding down up here in the chilly Northeast).
