The Time is NOW!
I am 29 years old and I am embracing life in all its surprises and trials. Right now, I am a full-time student, but I will be graduating in April of 2014 (hooray!!). I also have a full-time and a part-time job. I have a busy social life. And with all this I am going to prioritze my health and fitness above all. I can't give 100% of myself to any part of my life if I am not at my best physically. There are hundreds of things I want to do and there is no better time than now.
I have always been overweight. I think that maybe for about a year when i was ten I was thin. I am very much an emotional eater. It is my treat to myself and, unfortunately, something I look forward too. I struggle with fast food. I am not much of a cook, so the convenience of fast food appeals to me. It has become a terrible habit for me to just grab something on the way home.
Luckily, I am not a picky eater at all. I love most food. I love healthy food. I am perfectly happy to munch on some fresh veggies or fruits. My challenge is to build the habits of shopping, prepping, and cooking healthy food so that it is available when I am hungry.
I actually enjoy going to the gym. I just don't enjoy having it take a big chunk of my very limited free time. I'm working on creating a balance where I am working out enough, but not letting it consume all of my available time.
I've always believed that anything worth having is worth working hard for, and I know now that my own health and happiness is worth having. So I am going to work hard for it.
I am truly blessed to have amazing and supportive family and friends. Anyone who isn't supportive of me and my goals is not someone that I'm going to keep in my life.
Here's to the beauty of hard work and change.

**tracking every day for a month~new piano sheet music or dvd
**each month working out 4-5 times/wk~ new gym outfit
**one month staying in calories 95%~ Mac or Chanel makeover (and purchase)
**one year consistent working out/not eating out/mostly staying in calories~ teeth work
**once I reach a size 12~ cruise!!!


**♫ Daily reward for not eating fast food~ 1 or 2 music downloads
**♫ Weekly reward for working out at least 4-5x~2 hrs of pamper time
**$$**Reward for 100 days without eating fast food~hairstyle and dye! or new piercing or tattoo :)

My Goals:
♥ To be a size 12 by my birthday/graduation in April 2014.
♥ To run a marathon within the next year (by June 2014)
♥ To decrease/eliminate fast food from my diet
♥ To build the confidence in myself to be able to embrace challenge and risk.
♥ Ultimately, to lose 110 -120 lbs.


My Program:
♥ Fitness- full body strength training 3-4 days a week (with recovery days in between)
♥ Fitness- walk at least 8 miles/wk (to start)
♥ Fitness- cardio 4-5 days/wk
♥ Nutrition- eat 1 lb of fresh veggies and 1 lb of cooked veggies/ day (give or take. It isn't as much as it sounds, trust me)
♥ Nutrition- drink 64 oz of water/day
♥ Nutrition-track what I eat (accountability)
♥ Attitude-I stay positive and try not to compare my progress to others. I do not beat myself up over not being "perfect." I celebrate my little victories.
