I'm Going to Make It!!!
I'm losing weight after having my children (gained 60 lbs in 2004 with first after already being about 20 lbs up!) I started at 225 lbs 3 years ago and was successful at losing about 25 lbs over a couple years. I started again in earnest with SparkPeople on March 1st, 2008 at 195 lbs. I'm looking for something to help with my accountability. Tracking my exercise and food will be a big help, but so will posting on community boards and writing in my blog. I really think I'm ...

I started at 225 lbs 3 years ago and was successful at losing about 25 lbs over a couple years. I started again in earnest with SparkPeople on March 1st, 2008 at 195 lbs. I'm looking for something to help with my accountability. Tracking my exercise and food will be a big help, but so will posting on community boards and writing in my blog. I really think I'm going to make it this time. So if you want to watch someone from the beginning, go ahead and watch me. I'm going to document everything in my blog. I'm gonna' get this thing done! But along the way you can watch my highs and lows and watch how well (or how humanly) I deal with them. I'm taking a photo of myself every week and hope to make a movie of them when I reach my goal. I saw someone did that on UTube, and I think it would be cool to have one for myself. Wish me luck! ________Goal___Actual 3/1/08....................195 4/5/08...................185.6 5/3/08...................179.8 (I'm in the 170's!!!!!!!!) 6/7/08...................171.8 7/5/08...................171.4 (Been struggling lately) 8/2/08...................166.6 (progress!) 9/6/08...................168.2 10/4/08...................(on vacation and got sick - no weigh in) 11/8/08....................163 12/6/08...................161 1/1/09......................162.8 2/2/09.....................160.2 (bouncing. "Do or do not. There is no try" - Yoda "Runners run for the finish line even if someone else has reached it first." -Unknown "Don't fear moving slowly forward...fear standing still." -Kathleen Harris "Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish." - John Quincy Adams “Most barriers to your success are man-made. And most often, you’re the man who made them.” -Frank Tyger "It's not what you do in life, it's what you finish." -Katherine Hepburn to Martina Navratilova “Fall seven times, get up eight.” - Japanese Proverb "Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use." ~ Earl Nightingale "Being defeated is often temporary, giving up makes it permanent." - Marilyn Vos Savant "Accept no one's definition of your life. Define yourself." "You gain strength, confidence and courage by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face." - Eleanor Roosevelt "You're better than you think you are and you can do more than you think you can!" - Ken Chlouber "A goal without a plan is just a dream." -??? "If you went running when you first started thinking about it, you'd be back by now." "The road to hell is paved with couches." "People who say it can't be done shouldn't interrupt those who are doing it." George Bernard Shaw Quotes from my blogs: "It's time to take control of my life back. No one can do this for me. The transformation is not going to happen magically. It's going to take a lot of hard work, consistency, awareness, and deliberate choices on my part. If I stick with it, I will get there." -3/18/08 (from my blog) "...as long as I stick to the nutrition plan... and get in my strength training and cardio most days, there is just no way for my body to support its current weight of 190+. If I stick to the plan long enough, I’ll get to my goal. It’s a scientific fact. All I need to do is stay with this and not give up in frustration or from the inability to say no to myself." -3/17/08 (from my blog) "The past is the past, the present is what I control, and the future will come from my current actions." -5/1/08 (from my blog) My exercise playlist (alphabetical - not in order of preference): 1.
