I'm Going to Make It!!!

I'm losing weight after having my children (gained 60 lbs in 2004 with first after already being about 20 lbs up!) I started at 225 lbs 3 years ago and was successful at losing about 25 lbs over a couple years. I started again in earnest with SparkPeople on March 1st, 2008 at 195 lbs. I'm looking for something to help with my accountability. Tracking my exercise and food will be a big help, but so will posting on community boards and writing in my blog.

I really think I'm going to make it this time. So if you want to watch someone from the beginning, go ahead and watch me. I'm going to document everything in my blog. I'm gonna' get this thing done! But along the way you can watch my highs and lows and watch how well (or how humanly) I deal with them.

I'm taking a photo of myself every week and hope to make a movie of them when I reach my goal. I saw someone did that on UTube, and I think it would be cool to have one for myself. Wish me luck!

Quotes from my blogs:

"It's time to take control of my life back. No one can do this for me. The transformation is not going to happen magically. It's going to take a lot of hard work, consistency, awareness, and deliberate choices on my part. If I stick with it, I will get there."
-3/18/08 (from my blog)

"...as long as I stick to the nutrition plan... and get in my strength training and cardio most days, there is just no way for my body to support its current weight of 190+. If I stick to the plan long enough, I’ll get to my goal. It’s a scientific fact. All I need to do is stay with this and not give up in frustration or from the inability to say no to myself."

Look for the thread called "Did that, got the T-shirt".

My arms have that old familiar feeling. Jelly. Limp, wet spaghetti noodles. Ahhhh.

I am in the army and was in Korea from 1996 to 1999. I was in the western corridor, north of Seoul at two tiny bases that have since been turned over to the Koreans. Ass I remember, Osan was pretty nice compared to our little base. Have been all over since, but not back.

I think my two older kids (5 nd 7 in June) would like a running program like that. My two year old is big enough to ask me, "will you go running with me?" And the baby just falls asleep in the jogger. Take care!

Hey, Debbie! I can't believe I missed almost all your blogs since last summer - sorry to hear about the mega-layoff, but it sounds like something good came from that!

Hope all's well with you!

Hugs,
Maya

I hope it all works out. Way to go getting your exercise walking the kids to school and running home.
