Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog! This has definitely been THE longest winter I have experienced in a LONG time and hopefully it will be gone sooner than later! I have some friends that live up in Frederick, MD, and I know their winter has been tough too. Have a great day!

Hey! yes I am still trying. I have been doing it for 3 weeks now. I have been having some trouble because i got the common cold and it was hard to eat fruits and veggies but i followed the plan in the day and in the evening i ate what i wanted because i felt sick and wanted something "bad" lol. Then i was determined to get fully back on it this week but came down with the flu but in the intestines and couldnt hardly eat anything. the only nice this is i lost 4 more pounds! lol but not in a good way so that isnt good i suppose. But I LOVE this plant based diet. I can see myself eating this way my whole life. I went more vegan than just plant based diet so its a little bit harder because all the food i eat for supper is food i never really had before. some is really good and some not so good but i think my taste buds are really getting used to the veggies. i now crave steamed broccolli! i know you can do this and the results are going to be fantastic! not just for weight loss but the amount that your bad cholestrol goes down is going to be great! plus all the benefits that can come with it. I had my blood work done a month before i started and after 8 weeks i want to get it done again! I want to see how amazing it will be. But i might have to do it after 10 weeks because the last 2 weeks werent so great! today I am finally feeling like im alive! lol the last 2 weeks i swore i was dead! lol but i am right back on it today. starting my day off with a peach and a bottle of water and maybe some more fruit (just going to see how my belly does with that) for breakfast i love making a fruit salad with lots of different kinds of fruit and putting some silvered almonds and raw oats on top and 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk. i use orginal and/or vanilla. It will fill you up till lunch time! lunch and supper is always tricky for me as cooked veggies are good but i always feel something is missing like butter but i know i will get used to it and raw veggies are just not as good without dip but my aunt gets soy yogurt and puts the hidden valley ranch dry mix packet in it and she says it tastes good. but i cant find soy yogurt anywhere but one store and its 4 or 5 dollars for 4 yogurts and i think that is to much. good luck with the diet and you can always ask me questions or anything if you want!

Thank you for the comments on my blog about meeting Alta. I have really been questioning myself - my lack of progress, my resistance to commitment, my "who cares" attitude about my goals - so meeting her at this precise time was so important to me. She's like my "goal angel" and I picture her reaching for that stop sign when I'm thinking about quitting and it pushes me to go on for just a little farther. I truly believe these "angels" are sent to us for a purpose!
