I am Ryan's wife and Clayton and Kinley's mommy! I have noticed how well my mom has done on SparkPeople and I want to learn the same things that she has learned! My Sister-in-laws wedding is in January so...lets get this DONE!

Fitness Minutes: 420

My Goals:
My Goal is to lose 20 lbs by January 1, 2011. I can do it, I know i can i just have to WORK and thats the hard part!

My Program:
I've been going to the gym pretty regularly since the start of the year, and I hadent lost a POUND not even 1 POUND!!! so i figured maybe this calorie intake thing might be the real deal. My mom started SP in october of 2009 and Ive never seen her be as dedicated to anything other than my children and me and my siblings in my LIFE and she loves it. not only does she love it but she LOOKS good so i figured I'd give it a try.

Personal Information:
I pretty much grew up in Lubbock TX. I lived there for 17 years, so yes it is my home. I always thought I would be one of those that wants to leave so bad and "getouta" this town, but turns out I'm not that way at all. My Wonderful husband Ryan is in Pharmacy school in Abilene TX (about 2.5 hrs from Lubbock) for the next 1 1/2 (4yr program) years so we'll be here until then, but after school...it's where the Lord sees fit

Other Information:
It's been said that I'm slightly dramatic and can be quite a handfull, I say...its true. I see no reason not to live life in the now; embracing each and every moment. I only plan so life has a direction but as to what shall be the outcome...only time will tell. All I know is that it's going to be something amazing!

I married my sweet husband Ryan in June of 2005. We welcomed our first baby Boy Clayton Ryan George into the world on April 3, 2008 and he is a pretty amazing little piggy! Little Miss Kinley Renée made her big appearance Februare 23, 2011

Kali, I know how frustrating it can be when you work hard and then the scales refuse to move. I know it is hard not to, but don't let it all be about the weight. Getting healthy by eating right and exercising is a good thing no matter how you look at it. It will keep you around on this earth to see those beautiful children grow up and it will keep you around to spoil the grandchildren that will come one day.

Kali on this journey we hit our highs and lows. Sounds like you hit a plateau. Happens to all of us and it can be quite frustrating. Hang in there and push through it. Your body will love you for it! As I constantly remind myself, I didn't put the weight on overnight.

It will happen do remember that muscle weighs more than fat so you may have been building muscle. One day sooner than you know you will see results .It is frustrating to think you are working hard and the blasted scale refuses to budge but it will . I feel completely sure the breakthrough is just around the corner for you.Never ever give up!

Honey, hang in there! I can't tell you how many SparkFriends I have who have been so frustrated because they've worked SO HARD, and for MONTHS, the stupid scale is stuck on the same number, or worse! DON'T QUIT! Just around some corner, and you don't know which corner it will be, suddenly you're going to find that the bottom begins to fall out, and you lose weight faster than you can imagine... at least until the next plateau! emoticon

You have two choices. It's either give up and hate yourself as you gain weight and feel terrible, or press on. Pressing on is tough, and you may not see results right away, but it sure beats the other scenario!
