Welcome to my page. I'm Rachael. I've been slacking off as of late and, between moving to a new house and the holidays, the lbs have crept back up and the good habits I had going for awhile need to be reestablished. I am back following the Eat to Live plan 100% and shooting to knock off the last 10 lbs and then keep them off. Hopefully my new dog, Asher, will help me out with this by giving me a reason to get up and get walking every morning and evening, in addition walking to and from work ...

I am back following the Eat to Live plan 100% and shooting to knock off the last 10 lbs and then keep them off. Hopefully my new dog, Asher, will help me out with this by giving me a reason to get up and get walking every morning and evening, in addition walking to and from work and walking my clients' dogs.

My plan is as follows:
~Stick to E2L guidelines; whole foods, minimal starches, no added sugars or salt, and no dairy
~Cardio everyday...walk the dog twice, plus something else
~Strength training twice a week at least

Goals for May:
~Complete C25k through wk 3, plus walking on off days
~No chocolate for 2 weeks!
~80 oz water/tea per day
~find a replacement for stress/boredom eating

Weight mini-goals met:
~1/14/07: Broke the 200 lb mark!!!!!
~4/1/07: Broke 180 lbs!!! (179.8lbs, to be exact)
~5/6/07: Officially within my healthy BMI range at 173.6 lbs!
~6/3/07: Reached 170 lbs...on the home stretch!
~12/5/07: Recommitting myself to E2L and exercise...at 171 lbs, only 11 lbs to go.

My Goals:
~Reach my target weight of 150 by next fall and stay there!
~Be able to jog at least a mile without feeling like I'm going to lose a lung.
~Stick with Eat to Live and get over these cravings!


My Program:
~Eat to Live - I'm past the six week plan but am trying to stick with the 90/10 plan long term
~Strength training at least 3 times a week
~"Power" walking at least 5 days per week (2-3 mi) mixed with some stationary bike work and using the Walk Away The Pounds dvds.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from the Boston area but am now living in Syracuse, NY (and missing Boston horribly!)

Other Information:
I love animals, have lots of pets and I am actually a professional petsitter. See a few of my babies up above! I am a voracious reader; favorite author is Charles deLint but I read everything. When I can, I do a lot of photography. For the first time, I have the space to start a real garden so that is the next project!
