Runner girl seeks motivation

I've been running for a couple of years now, and have completed 5 half marathons and multiple 5ks. I just need some motivation to improve my eating habits so I can realize my goal for weight loss and overall fitness.

My Goals:
Mid 40's seemed like such a terrible time...but honestly, I'm LOVING this age!

Goals for 2011: 1) drop those pesky 10 pounds FOR GOOD! 2) run at least 8 races this year. 3) manage to fit in plenty of running, despite my busy schedule.

My Program:
Running at least 3 miles, 3 days a week...often more on Saturday. Cross training with my friend/trainer 3 days a week. Limit portion sizes, delete JUNK food from my diet, and drink LOTS OF WATER!

Personal Information:
My name is Ellen Howell, and I am a 46 y/o mother of 2. My husband, Rusty, is SO marvelous, and I thank God every day for bringing him into my life. I live in Mount Juliet, TN, which is just east of Nashville. I am an RN, but have returned to the classroom to get my Masters in Ed and undergrad in Biology...hoping to teach HS Biology. My husband and I are very involved at our church and go on short term mission trips to Surco, Peru.

Other Information:
We all have a past, most of us wish we could forget. Its ok to look back at the past...just don't stare!
