Hi, I am a marathon and ultra marathon running thirty something married father of 3 with 2 step children. I have always had issues with my weight and it wasn't until I was in my early thirties that I truly understood how to manage it. I have read many books and magazines, tried all the fad diets, gimmicks, etc, but running is my true saving grace. The first and foremost rule to any weight loss program is calories in and calories out. Without this knowledge you will certainly fail.

My Goals:
1. Log my food and eat healthy and healthy portions.

2. Exercise 3-5 times per week by running and working out.

3. Drop the weight I gained since last year!

My Program:
Follow the SparkPeople tracking method by using the recommended calorie intake for fat,protein,and carbs.

Run at least every other day and walk my dog each evening with my wife.

Give myself one relaxed day to eat something I have a craving for, log the food but don't worry about if I go over or under calories for the day!

Personal Information:
I am from Kenosha WI and live here with my wife our kids.

We bought our house here in 2006 and while we love it we are planning on relocating in a few years.

My wife is awesome! She is my better half and makes me smile inside and out!

My original SparkPeople start weight on January 10, 2010 was 234 and I was as low as 174 but gained some muscle during P90X and then got lazy after going back to work.

I restarted Spark on 3/14/2011 with a goal of 50lbs to lose in 6months.

    Man, I am so jealous! Seriously you got to drive on a nascar track? How fast did you go? There is nothing like the feeling of, that is miles per hour not the other cause I don't know that feeling. LOL. So anyway!!!! That is awesome you got to do that. Sounds like a great day for you! How about next time I tag along!

    I work at SAS as a Principle Project Manager. Joined about 3 years ago after 20 years at Kmart and 3 at Sears. Started 27 years ago as a COBOL programer, worked my way up over the years to IT Director, got downsized, then joined SAS. Happy to be with SAS, great company!
