Do I Knit or Do I Run?

I'm a runner who likes to knit. Married since 2/14/86 to a wonderful and supportive man. And he likes to run, too!

I lost my mom on May 12, 2006 - she was the inspiration for me to run. She ran until she died (she died in good health, from a fall).

My Goals:
1. Lose weight
2. Run faster!
3. Run more each week.

My Program:
I try to exercise up to 6 days a week. Any movement. But specifically, I run about 3 times a week. I am also trying to make sure I lift weights and swim twice weekly.

Personal Information:
I live in San Francisco with my wonderful husband. I love to knit and dabble in other crafts.

I've been exercising regularly since 1998 - but boy, I sure struggled that first year. Now it's routine.

Other Information:
My favorite marathon book, Marathon, is by Jeff Galloway. My favorite motivational book for beginning runners is The Courage to Start (John Bingham).

Favorite book for beginning knitters: Stitch and Bitch. Fun and informative.
