Babies Change Everything

I just had my second baby in January, so now I'm hitting the diet & exercise hard once again. Still recovering from a rather difficult delivery with some embarrassing side effects, but I've added some serious supplements under the guidance of my naturopath. I struggled with weight all my life, then I got very fit in my early 20s. After a cross-country move, a hormone treatment (that caused a 70lb gain in 6 mos), & 2 babies, I'm the largest I've ever been, & I hate it. I was finally starting to lose some weight when I got pregnant with baby #2. Surprise! Now that I have my body back (sort of...we EBF), I'm excited to start exercising again & see what this ol' body of mine can do. I would really love to be fit & fabulous again!

Tracking calories (approx. 1800 cals per day while exclusively breastfeeding)

GIRL I WISH I'M LUCKY TOO AND DROP MY PREGNANCY WEIGHT WEEKS AFTER TOO :). GIRL YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO BABY BUMP PIC emoticon . IT IS COMING ONCE I FEEL UP TO IT LOL... YOU KNOW I'M FEELING HUGE emoticon , BUT I WILL TAKE SOME ONCE I FEEL UP TO IT. I'VE BEEN FEELING GOOD NOW I JUST WISHING MY ENERGY LEVEL WILL PICK UP SO I CAN START BACK EXERCISING.

Congratulations on the new baby! You have a wonderful family and need to be able to play with them and be around for a long, long time - what an incentive to continue this journey, I wish you lots of luck here, ;)

YES GIRL I KNOW I WILL BE HAPPY EITHER WAY BABIES ARE SO PRECIOUS :). LOOK AT YOU GOT MOST OF THAT PREGNANCY WEIGHT OFF! BTW: 40LBS WASN'T TOO BAD :).

I JUST RECENTLY STARTED TO FEEL GOOD THAT FIRST TRIMESTER WAS AWFUL :).

SO OF COURSE I HAVEN'T BEEN EXERCISING JUST WASN'T UP TO IT.

NUTRITION WISE MY TASTE BUDS WAS ALL SKREWED UP AND SUGAR BECAME MY ENEMY LOL.... I COULD ONLY EAT CERTAIN FOOD MAINLY TOAST AND EGGS.

WEIGHT WISE I GAINED 6LBS SO FOR UP AND DOWN SO I STARTED AT 238 THEN UP IN DOWN FROM THERE. I'M CURRENTLY AT 242LBS.

NOW THAT I'M IN THE SECOND TRIMESTER I'M STARTING TO FEEL GOOD AND I NOTICE MY APPETITE HAS PICKED UP SO OH BOY HERE COMES THE WEIGHT LOL...

emoticon We should help each other track our food. Yesterday, I wrote down on paper what I ate (too much) but my son (age 5) was on the computer and I could not get to log it in. It takes too long on my ipad. I also want to try to eat less rice and work my way to switch to at least a multi-grain pasta...or whole grain. I am never going to lose the amount of weight I want too eating as much carbs as I do. It is so hard. My eating habits are so bad now and I ate good while pregnant...when I could. I was sick for the first 20 or so weeks...my son just assumed that Mommy threw up after dinner! :) I craved orange juice which was great and could not eat chocolate...which saved me from gaining too much. I go to the doctor on Wed. and am eager to start exercising again....but my eating needs to be fixed or all the exercise in the world won't help. Hope your weekend is good. Our weather here has been mild and I am so thankful each day. We had a blizzard the end of October and lost our lights and such for almost a whole week. I am glad for a mild winter here in New England.
