Never quit trying!!!
Keep trying, don't give up is all that keeps going through my head!! At the age of 37 I had a heart attack. Thankfully it was just a wake up call type. I was in good shape, ran, ate right did everything right but yet suffered a heart attack. Everyone around me was stunned as well as many doctors/nurses. I had 100% blockage and had angioplasty and one stent was placed in my artery. I was on medication for 18 months and was told I could go off the all the med's. I was told for one, I was ...
I was told for one, I was too young to be on these med's the rest of my life and 2, I showed NO signs of ever having a heart attack. I had reversed the damage that was done which I guess is a very hard thing to do..who knew... I stunned even the specialist at the U of M hospital that I was sent to. I was a medical mystery with my own cardiologist LOL That was a little over 3 yrs ago. I have continued to stay healthy (for the most part) have had a minor scare recently but things are okay now. I have recently been placed on a beta blocker due to this new problem, but was told it wasn't going to be a permanent thing. I have continued my running, I have continued to make good choices when it comes to food....maybe not 100% of the time but I do make good choices. I have 3 kids, 3 wonderful, busy, active kids. My son is will 16 this summer, my daughter is 13 and my baby(daughter) is almost 12. Of course, my husband of almost 17 yrs--wow! They are my reason for wanting to do all things as well as I can. What I do today set things in motion of what they'll do tomorrow. I need to make positive choices for their sake, for my own sake. This is my year that I FINALLY run my first 1/2 marathon!!! April 30th is the day I will finally step up and run the 1/2 marathon that I have dreamed (or nightmared) over. I'm now in training mode for that!!! I'm super excited! Quotes: There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results. -Kenneth Blanchard
