Running, living, and loving life in 201(3)!

This year my goal is NOT to diet- it is to get healthy. For far too long I haven't been patient and tried various diets and pushed myself too hard. This year I'm doing it slowly- I will attempt to lose 100lbs this year, however, I will eat normal quantities of regular food. Yes I will try to eat healthier foods- more veggies and fruit, but no "diet food". I'm not on a diet, I want to change my life. I want to get rid of this emotional attachment that I have with food.

For the first two weeks of January I wrote down everything I ate and tried to follow my "eating rules" as closely as possible. However, I did not count calories. Beginning with 1/13/2013 I will start tracking on spark people again and eating between 1600-1800 calories a day. I will be exercising, but not over doing it. I will exercise for my health, not for weight loss... lets see what I can accomplish this year!

For the past 4 yrs I have been on spark I have aimed for 1600-1800 calories a day.

Hey thanks for the comment on my blog! I have tried so many times to get my mom jump started and I think I need to just leave her alone. She doesn't seem to wanna do it no matter how hard I try. It seems like some ppl just need to start when they ready if they ever will be ready.
