Ready to Run... Again

I grew up running since I was in Elementary School. We ran road races as a family (myself, mom, dad and older brother) up to 17 milers! I was head of the pack running for High School Cross-Country and long distance Track. I now have a 3 & 4 year old whom I care for 24/7 while my husband serves in the Army. It isn't always easy to find time for a workout (its much easier to find excuses!) but I am now *making* time for myself to workout whether it is a jog aroudn the neighborhood (with 75 lbs ...

It isn't always easy to find time for a workout (its much easier to find excuses!) but I am now *making* time for myself to workout whether it is a jog aroudn the neighborhood (with 75 lbs of stroller to push!) or doing a workout on Wii during their naptime. I have also had to cutback on emotional and boredom eating, especially at night when I would crash on the couch with a beer and a plate of nachos! I started this recent weight loss kick at the beginning of January and already lost about 12 pounds in 4 weeks!

"Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out" emoticon

Thank you for the kind words on my Spark Page. Running in the cold isn't hard for me either, it's the snow. I can't imagine trying to run while pushing a stroller emoticon .
I did check into the local YMCA here and they have an indoor track so I'm very tempted to go join. I hear they even have free babysitting emoticon . Take care emoticon

That's too funny! I use the coconut creamer every morning in my coffee too! I hope you had a good day baby-sitting. I got in a great workout at the gym, and went grocery shopping for some healthful snacks. Got tons of fruit and veggies. :) And...my hubby called while I was on the Ab-machine! :) What a pleasant little surprise. Have a great Tuesday!

It was a good day today. :) I was at church for the first half of the day for a special event, then came home, had lunch, and did some computer work. (Yay!) I got in a walk around the block with my little man and my dog today. My gym is closed on Sundays, and since I work out all 6 days of the week, I like to keep Sunday my rest-day. I was under calories on the nutrition tracker, but I don't eat the same things they have in the meal plan, and it's hard for me, because a lot of the stuff I can't even substitute in there, i.e. eggs...WITH the yolk. I'm all about being healthy, but I'm not trying to cut out everything that tastes good! lol. I'm just watching a movie with my lil boy and preparing myself for a busy week! Sounds like you've done great today!!!! Tomorrow I'll be back to the grind with my workout in the morning. Talk to you then!

Hey! Isn't it so exciting knowing it's a downhill ride from here until they get home!? I'm so pumped, and I know I'll be so much more confident about our reunion if I lose this weight! I'd be glad to do it together!
