Run4Prize is getting back on the Track

Another day, another dollar... Or, more likely, another year, another ten pounds??
Not this last year! Now that 2009 is over I always look at January as an opportunity to jumpstart a diet or fitness goal. And that is exacltly what I am doing. I can't be so tough on myself though for my last year. I started January 2009 at 162 lbs and here is January 2010 and I am 152.
Now, this is my goal: Instill discipline.
Over the last 6 weeks (holidays), I realized something. ...

Over the last 6 weeks (holidays), I realized something. When I fall behind on my healthy eating and exercise goals, everything falls down around me.
I need to stick to a healthy eating plan and gym program in order to keep a healthy attitude.

January 2009: I have seen pounds slowly creep on over the last year. Granted there has been some emotional issues going on and I had been ok with letting the eating habits slip. But I'm done now. No more. I would like to be more diligent with my running schedule and cut out the fast food and sugary treats.

My Program:
Cardio at least 30 minutes a day. More if time permits.

Stength train every other day.

Track those calories!!
1200-1500 calories a day

Oatmeal for breakfast is important for me.

Pilates 2 times a week.

Personal Information:
Wife of 17 years
Mother to 3 teenage children
Husband works full time and Pastors a church in Hollister, CA.
I go to school part time during day.
Lead Bible Study on Thursday evenings.
I scrapbook once every other month, wish it was more.

Yay! You should be friends with my friend Brianna LadyCop on here she's super inspiring! I am trying to get inspiration from here like I was. I was asked by someone today to be a model in their photoshoot and I will be wearing my wedding dress. If that's not a super strong push then I don't know what is!

So I will prob go to gym in the AMbefore school then (this month only) at night when we come home. It's the perfect amount of time and the perfect goal to get me motivated. I've been maintaing well and I havnt been struggling with gluttonous desires the way I once did but I know it's not likly to last long.

Obviously with all that working out I'll go back to my complex carbs lean protein vegi diet.
