Down and further downward... (The scale that is...)

With a new year here and a motivation like I've never had before, I begin my trek down the scale and into all the cute little clothes that have been nice on the rack but nowhere near my body lol.

2011 brought a new baby and the need for some medication that had a side effect of weight gain. Now almost a quarter of the way in 2012, the meds are no longer needed, and I can get back to my journey down the scale again.

My Goals:
After having 3 kids, I want to get back down to my pre-babies size. While the number is nice, I tend to build muscle and keep it, so the number is just a number to me. I'll let the fit of clothes be my deciding factor. :)



My Program:
I am an Atkins girl! Low carb works best for me. I had never considered it before, but during my last pregnancy I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I had to really watch my carb intake and I lost weight and I walked out of the hospital weighing less than when I started. After getting out, I went back to eating my normal way and along with some medications, I gained all that weight back and then some. It finally clicked that I need to stay away from carbs. I've been doing it for a month now, and have lost almost 14 pounds. I'm not hungry and have more energy that I have had in a long time. I'm so excited to finally find what works for me.

For exercise, I love Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds dvds. Typically the instructors on dvds annoy me, but Leslie Sansone is very genuine and real. I also walk on my gazelle, and am an exercise bike is in the near future. Oh, and let's not forget that I chase a 5 year old and now a running 15 month old around all day eve

I am 33 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband, Trey, for nearly 15 years, and am a stay at home mom to our 3 kiddos. Kathryn is 12, Jacob is 5, and Carlie is 15 months. I homeschool our kids as well.

Favorite Books- Gone With the Wind and anything by Judith McNaught, The Hunger Games Trilogy, Twilight Trilogy, Unwind, Gone Girl, and soooo many others. Feel free to email me for book ideas.

Favorite Movies- Gone With the Wind and I love the Bridget Jones movies. Twilight movies

TV Shows- House, Mike & Molly, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Fringe, most Food Network Shows, Game of Thrones, True Blood, and Boardwalk Empire. Lots of Fox News channel as well
