Hi I am a 65 year old widow. Who lives with another widower.
Now that I am post menopausal I have to keep an eye on my cholesterol and weight. I have never had a weight problem until I retired. Now I have to watch what I eat !!!. I have 3 beautiful grandchildren, and 2 children of which I am a very proud Mum
My partner and I travel a lot in Australia and Europe

I love cooking, growing my own vegetables
Doing jigsaws, but I now do them on the computer
I also love reading have been an avid bookworm all my life
I enjoy adulterating all my old favourite recipes to fit our new life style. I feel you do not have to deny yourself but be prepared to change how you do things, so that you can still enjoy life's little food treats

My goal is to get down to 60-65 Kgs I am now on 65kg and can fit nicely into size 12 jeans Whow



My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals.
Alan and I walk 3 klms every day. We have increased our exercise to now we do cardiac and strengh every second day
We are both on a type 2 diabetic and low cholesterol diets.

Low Gi diets are working Alan's BSL are decreasing. have changed cholesterol tabs to Lipador no more seized up back in the am from side affects of Cresta, and more energy

    Thanks for the good wishes Ruth. The surgeon wanted to do it yesterday, but I was still in Bundaberg and so it is on for next Tuesday. I am a little anxious about it, but just have to relax and try not to stress about it. Where did you go for Easter? I am so glad that we have cooler weather now on the GC. Still beautiful, but jsut pleasant and not muggy. Have a great day. emoticon

    HI Ruth, you are so right, it is hard to exercise when it is so muggy. I have had enough of it LOL. Be a couple more days yet then it will be hot for a couple of days. Bring on winter.
