Under construction....

I lost 40 lbs when I started running 5 1/2 years ago. Pretty much just by running consistently and eating healthy foods. I started running to help with my TMJ. Running helps me in many ways and I pray I am healthy enough to do it for many many more years!
I have regained all of the weight of I lost, plus an extra 2 pounds! I could say it was all due to an injury, and that certainly played into my downward spiral. However, in order to move forward, I am owning ALL my choices, good, ...

I have regained all of the weight of I lost, plus an extra 2 pounds! I could say it was all due to an injury, and that certainly played into my downward spiral. However, in order to move forward, I am owning ALL my choices, good, bad and ugly, and leaving the past where it belongs.
As of April 2015 I am 213 lbs. I will work towards 160 lb knowing that eventually I'll get there. Even though I have ran many miles, including one full marathon in the last 3 years, I am starting running anew (due to two stress fractures on my tibia in Dec. 2012, then just laziness, anxiety, and depression, not to mention fear of re-injury). I pray that starting slowly will help me to avoid burn out and stay motivated.
The new battle will not just be weight loss, but also to combat the negative thinking patterns that seem to be ingrained. Breaking free is my goal this year! 2015 is my year to get this party RE-started! I'd love some support along the way! I'll do my best to encourage you towards your goals as well. Cheers to a new day, new blessings, and meeting our goals!

"As you look back on the year gone by, think of missed opportunities not with regret, but as a reminder of what you learned that you can use to seize the opportunities ahead."

Best Wishes for 2015.

Thank you so so much. It so touched my heart how God put me on your heart to pray. THANK YOU! (to you & God!) I think I'm just flying through too many emotions right now...and have been wrestling with far too much, so I really really am thankful for you praying! Thanks for caring dear spark friend! emoticon Hope you have a wonderful night :)

The month of November fell flat on its face. I don't think I gained too much, but I certainly didn't lose my 5 pounds for the month! The trip to my sister's house was great fun and encouragement, but not very healthy from an eating perspective. Thanks for asking! Maybe I should modify my goal and aim for "Don't gain any in December!" (Ha! ha! ha!)
