Holy Cow! Although, I DID manage to lose 38 lbs from 232 lbs. in late November 2009 to 194 lbs. by March 10th, 2010, which was my sister's 50th birthday. It has now been almost 4 years. I HAVE maintained a 10 lb. loss from my original weight, back in November 2009. YAY! :) I'm a 5'2" woman of 55 years. I've never married, nor have I had any children. However...I went to 10 schools in 12 years, I spent 4 years serving my country in the U.S.Army and now have almost 32 years with the airline of my employment. I have been overweight for most of my life. My younger "hottie" sister was always the one the guys gravitated toward, with her long light blonde hair & "hot body" for a woman of almost 54. I have every intention of changing that! Once I have set my mind on a goal ... I WILL achieve it! Life isn't without obstacles. We all encounter them and CAN overcome them. We simply need to change our direction! I recently was diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency. The blood's "normal" numbers range are 30 - 100. Mine is 17! I'm barely HALF the lowest range! Vitamin D has massive benefits. I was reading the majority of those with a Vitamin D deficiency are obese. It is because the Vitamin gets trapped in the fat cells & cannot get out to help via the bloodstream. OH EM GEE! Losing weight will help me FEEL good from the inside out! I have had difficulty with my sleeping pattern. I barely get 3.5 - 5 hours a night. Another deterrent to my weight loss! I now am experiencing a tear in my right foot's plantar fascia (from too steep of an incline on the treadmill 19JUL13), tendonitis in BOTH elbows, wrists & my right shoulder! I have also been diagnosed with asthma, COPD & emphysema. Overexertion is NOT going to help me as it will only frustrate me by inhibiting my breathing. My physical ailments would make a woman of 55 feel like a woman of 85! Now that I have been able to change my medical plan for 2014, I will take the bull by it's proverbial horns! I believe these obstacles before me are simply opportunities for greatness! One step at a time. I plan to achieve a 100 lb. weight loss & want to share it with all of you! Spark People, you have helped me in the past and once again I will be able to achieve my goal! Peace! (LOVE) xoxo ;)

Simple daily exercise ... 100 Leg lifts and Walking 30 minutes / 1 mile AT LEAST 3 days, but preferably 7 days a week!
