Gotta Get Motivated!

2014 Intro: My, how times have changed! Was doing great and then I tore my ACL and menicus in 2013 while gathering firewood. Couldn't walk or place weight on my left knee for awhile. For the next 6 months in trying to get better (kept injuring my knee doing stuff), I finally stopped any sort activity to let it heal properly and ended up gaining 30 lbs. Getting older is a pain and that extra weight just plain hurts. I need to lose this weight and realized how fast time has flown from my injury ...

Getting older is a pain and that extra weight just plain hurts. I need to lose this weight and realized how fast time has flown from my injury to now. Enough is enough!

My biggest problem isn't overeating, but not eating enough. It's hard for me to eat breakfast and lunch as I see food as calories invading my body that shouldn't be there. I call myself a closet anorexic. I'll eat dinner with my hubby. So, my biggest and hardest thing I gotta do is eat breakfast and lunch. I think I can, I think I can.....

2008 Intro:I started losing weight in 2006 and lost 40+ pounds when I deployed overseas to Afghanistan. Now that I'm back home, the pounds I lost are back again. I remember the feeling of wearing medium sized uniforms and by damned - I will once again!

My Goals:
The big one: lose the excess weight and tone-up my body. Learn to relax and not stress over the little things. Enjoy life and every day - one at a time.

My Program:
Biggest item is the nutrition plan. Working out, breathing, at least 10 minutes a day to relax and get a fresh perspective on my goals and solutions to my problems.

Personal Information:
Hi, my name is Tracy and I live with my husband and 18 yr old daughter in Avondale, Colorado. I'm 46, though I still feel as if I'm only 24.

Am a Squid Baby and have spent 22 years in the Army. Currently in IRR, due to medical.

Other Information:
I love to hunt and go fishing with with my family. The mountains are beautiful here. We'll take drives to see the scenery and watch the wildlife that lives here. I love to crochet, make homemade crafts, cooking, reading fantasy books, and star-gazing.

Thanks for the Spark tomato goodie! This past Wednesday I made it to farmers market in Lewisburg WV & was able to pick up some fantastic home grown tomatoes - I'm soooooooooo happy about that. Hope you have a great week.

I think we ALL want it sooner rather than later, but eventually, we learn that it will all happen in good time, if we continue to work towards our goals...and never, ever give up.

So, onward we go together...slowly, but surely!!!!!

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for stopping by my recent blogs and adding me as a friend. I have looked at some of your blogs and added you to my friend list too. You do live in beautiful country. Our new Oregon home is in a lovely area, too, but a different kind of lovely. I think this was a good choice for our retirement but I will always love Colorado.

As for my recent poltergeist adventures, I have had spirits or poltergeists or pixies or whatever you want to call them in my life for many years. Most of the time I find them helpful, occasionally mischievous, and only seldom annoying. I have occasionally seen ghosts and they do not scare me. As for keeping a journal or a log, I am not quite that organized, but I have repeated my stories to people often and have posted about several of them on Paranormal SparkTeam threads. If you are interested you might look there; if you don't find them, let me know and I'll see what I can do to make them more accessible for you. I also trained as a past-life regressionist and have been a professional astrologer for more than 35 years. But none of that has done to help me manage my weight. SparkPeople has helped there.

Good luck with your hunting and fishing - and your weight program!

I was nosey and read through the other responses to GETSTRONGRRR's latest blog. Actually, crawls are good for knees that you can't put pressure on because you aren't supposed to put your knee down on the ground. You are just on hands and feet. Butt down. It's hard. But not hard on knees. :-)
