The journey continues...

So far I have lost 27 pounds since December 29, 2014! My husband and I have been eating low carb foods and encouraging each other. My husband has lost 65 pounds. Sparkpeople helps me on this journey by keeping me accountable. The Daily Weigh-in Team has truly helped me stay on track. Atkins bars are my go-to food when I am tempted to eat something I shouldn't. The journey continues as I would like to lose another 12 pounds. We can do this!

My Goals:
Be thankful for my many blessings. Eat healthier, increase my energy level and activity level.

My Program:
1) Eating lower carb foods.
2) Portion control.
3) Eat when I am hungry, not at certain times on the clock.
4) Track my nutrition on SP.

Personal Information:
I have been married for 28 years to my best friend. I teach Kindergarten. My husband races superbikes and I am a corner flag and radio volunteer. I enjoy having a container garden on my deck. Our daughter graduated last spring.

Other Information:
I have lived in Bemidji, MN the past 13 years. We lived in Aberdeen, SD for 12 years. Most of our family is within a two hour drive of us now.

Press On! Atkins bars are something that I sometimes eat, but when I ate 5 in a day my blood sugar was out of whack. Read the nutrition label on those things, less than a "real" chocolate bar, but still pretty high.

Hang in there and eat salsa! At restaurants I like to use salsa for a salad dressing.

Roz, you always put your daily weight in so late in the day -- you don't weigh yourself at night, do you? Did you know that you weigh 2 or 3 pounds less first thing in the morning -- before you get dressed?

Just wondering -- maybe you just wait until evening to post, I know for working people it can be pretty busy in the morning.
