I AM Beautiful

I am 53 and have been struggling with weight since I was 48. Before then I could eat anything I wanted without exercise and not gain an ounce. What a rude awakening and so many new things to learn and add to my day. What to eat and what not to eat, exercise blah blah blah, lol. But I have to admit I enjoy walking on most days, then I have to double admit I havent walked in over a week, LOL. It is so easy for life to get in the way of a eating healthy and exercise.

On the upside I ...

On the upside I finally hit the lowest weight I have been in 3 years. I originally went from 130 pds to 150 pds, everyone said that was the menapause thingy (no fun at all). Then I quit smoking and my weight went to 183, wow talking about feeling fat and ugly! That is when I strated trying to eat better and lost to 173 pds. Now I am 163.5 pds and losing, slowly but I am losing. I do great then I dont walk or I eat something crappy, but I am still losing so that is hopeful.

My last goal was to lose a dress size by Valentines Day Dance, which I kind of made it, I went from size 12 to 11/12, lol, I am happy with that, grin. Tomorrow is the dance and to day I hoping to find a sexy red dress that I can fit into without looking like the bulging muffin top.

emoticon Are you out there? Just wanted to share ...

There once was a rich man who was near death. He was very grieved because he had worked so hard for his money and he wanted to be able to take it with him to heaven. So he began to pray that he might be able to take some of his wealth with him. An angel hears his plea and appears to him. "Sorry, but you can't take your wealth with you." The man implores the angel to speak to God to see if He might bend the rules. The man continues to pray that his wealth could follow him.

The angel reappears and informs the man that God has decided to allow him to take one suitcase with him. Overjoyed, the man gathers his largest suitcase and fills it with pure gold bars and places it beside his bed. Soon afterward the man dies and shows up at the Gates of Heaven to greet St. Peter.

St. Peter seeing the suitcase says, "Hold on, you can't bring that in here!" But the man explains to St. Peter that he has permission and asks him to verify his story with the Lord. Sure enough, St. Peter checks and comes back saying, "You're right. You are allowed one carry-on bag, but I'm supposed to check its contents before letting it through."

St. Peter opens the suitcase to inspect the worldly items that the man found too precious to leave behind and exclaims, "You brought pavement?!!!"

emoticon So here is my question ... What is the real value of what you love and are focusing on? Hmmm ...

On the mountains of truth, you can never climb in vain;
either you reach a point higher up today, or you will be training your powers so that you will be able to climb higher tomorrow.
