Staying Focused!!

I am in my fourth year of living a healthy life style!!
I celebrated my three year anniversary with SparkPeople February 12, 2014. I reached my goal weight on 2/7/12 - almost a year to the day I joined SparkPeople!! Sometimes my weight goes up a little bit, but I manage to drop it back down and maintain with different challenges on the SparkPeople web site, the support of my SparkBuddies as well as future physical goals.

Sometimes my weight goes up a little bit, but I manage to drop it back down and maintain with different challenges on the SparkPeople web site, the support of my SparkBuddies as well as future physical goals.

I started off with walking. If you would have told me three years ago that I would have run a 5k, I would have never believed it!

As of today, I have run 5ks, 10k's, 2 ten milers, and 5 Half Marathons! Funny how fast one's perspective can change...even for us middle-aged people!

The biggest things that stand out to me are my energy level and my confidence to try new physical activities.

I have eaten a lot healthier over the past three years. I love the food and fitness tracker app on my iphone. It helps me to stay consistent and on track.

They are better, but they are both bone on bone, and the last two weeks I have done a lot more since my wife is down. Just have to do things in moderation. I hurt a lot after my walks, but I have made up my mind, I am not going to stop walking, I will just do it slower.

Thanks for stopping at my blog. I was told a year and a half ago that I had to lose 75-100 lbs before they could do my knee replacement. I did that about 4 months ago, and was putting it off to lose some more weight. My wife fell and mess her knee up worse than it was, so she had to jump ahead. If I recover as quickly as she did, I am fearing it for nothing. I would like to schedule it for eary December if possible, but might need to put it off until next year. Thanks for asking.

Bob
