Staying Focused!!

I am in my fourth year of living a healthy life style!!
I celebrated my three year anniversary with SparkPeople February 12, 2014. I reached my goal weight on 2/7/12 - almost a year to the day I joined SparkPeople!! Sometimes my weight goes up a little bit, but I manage to drop it back down and maintain with different challenges on the SparkPeople web site, the support of my SparkBuddies as well as future physical goals.

I started off with walking. If you would have told me three years ago that I would have run a 5k, I would have never believed it!

As of today, I have run 5ks, 10k's, 2 ten milers, and 5 Half Marathons! Funny how fast one's perspective can change...even for us middle-aged people!

The biggest things that stand out to me are my energy level and my confidence to try new physical activities.

I have eaten a lot healthier over the past three years. I love the food and fitness tracker app on my iphone. It helps me to stay consistent and on track.

Thanks for asking, I was lucky and didn't get such a vicious virus as you did. I was really down just for 3 days, after that I was my old self again : )
Found some yoga sessions, specifically made for illness and recovery and I felt they were making me feel better.
I hope you will feel better soon!
I have been thinking about you. Take good care of yourself, and have a lot of rest!

Yes, I saw the comment about the mattress and phone number. Thank you!! Hugs. Hubby broke my elliptical. I doubt he will replace it.

We both feel much better this evening. I was pleased that I got all of the clothes from the trip, washed and put away and finished my classes. I also walked up the basement steps 9 times today doing chores. I know that helps with the weight loss. I will miss the electronic scale that was outside the classroom door. I would turn it on and weigh myself on our break.

It must be great to have your food completely organized ad under control!
I did some batch cooking yesterday... hehe... for my dog! I figured if I'm gagging while serving him his canned food that costs and arm and a leg, then i better try and come up with my own high protein yummy food. Plus his stomach isn't really taking to the canned food, but he loves it and can handle the texture. so i made a huge batch of meat and rice and I partially blended it for him. Would you laugh if I said I had to spoonfeed it to him? I'd to anything for that big lug!
I threw a spaghetti squash into my slow-cooker at lunchtime yesterday (the value of working 4km from my house!), and when I got home, i rolled 50 tiny meatballs into my homemade tomato sauce and we had a fantastic, healthy, yummy dinner! the girls were fighting over the squash. I'm so fortunate to have good eaters!
I brought my runners to work today, I'm planning on getting a walk in at lunch time and hopefully moving a bit. Hope you have a great day!
