August 2012, ready to go back to school!

I am tired of feeling like "the fat teacher" and am working to be healthy and fit.
I've learned a lot in recent years about being content, even HAPPY, with my "flaws" -- my invisible eyelashes that you can't see without mascara, my freckles, my size 11 feet - they're all a part of what makes me uniquely, beautifully, ME. Even my personality quirks, compliments of ADHD, make me the unique person that my family and friends love, and my students admire and adore.
I need to lose pounds, but I am more interested in size, tone, and body fat.
I will be a ten with less than 30% body fat, or a "healthy" BMI according to the SparkPeople calculator.
This is what I'm striving for:
1. water water water!
all day long
2. strength training 3X/wk
3. Yoga/flexibility activities 2X/week
4. DAILY walks with my pup, regardless of the weather.
Fun: I love to read, listen to music, sing, cook interesting new meals, spend time with my family, travel on day trips, and take my dog swimming.
Life: I love my life in Wyoming! My only regret is that I didn't come here years ago.
Family: Just me and my Mendo, plus our newly-adopted kitten named Jax. We also live close to my mom, stepdad, aunt, uncle, and cousins, and I'm very happy about that too. We foster animals for the City Shelter. So far just mama/kitten combos, but hoping for puppies one of these times. I also play quasi-step-mom to my boyfriend's 6-y-o son, and I absolutely love that role.
Faith: I am fairly new to being a Christian, and am enjoying the peace that God has brought me. Even in my trials, I feel like everything is going to be okay in the end. Jeremiah 29:11
Career: I work with SpEd teachers and staff, coordinating the Special Education program for several schools in my district.
I would like to help the entire SparkPeople community learn the difference between LOOSE and LOSE.
LOOSE means NOT TIGHT. You can not LOOSE weight.
However, if you LOSE weight, your clothes may become LOOSE!
Oh, and YOUR vs YOU'RE?
YOU'RE going to buy new clothes because YOUR clothes became too LOOSE when you started to LOSE weight.
