Hi,
The meals are from the TOPS retreat August 09 in Sudbury Ont. In 5 days we averaged 4+ lbs loss each every one of the 42 of us lost, and we had 1500 calories 3 meals 2 snacks every day.

I am the proud Mum of Chaparal's Petit Pixie. Pixie is overweight and only a year old. I am overweight and 55 years old. She has 6 pounds to lose and I have 50. We love to hike the magnificent Bruce Peninsula and have started the Bruce Trail Association's "40 Great Years - 40 Great Hikes" anniversary challenge. portion of the Bruce Trail that runs atop the Escarpment on Dyer's Bay. I heard a loon cry on the water from the cliff top, and even got a few pics, but you would have to believe me that the little speck is a loon. And the biggest thrill, on the trip back to the car we came across a rare and endangered Massassaga Rattler. This one even more rare because it is H U G E Four foot plus!

Someone said "Oh they would love some snow" I immediately pressed "join this group" stood up and took some pics for them, didn't even go out in the stuff, well except for the trail Pix & I have made for her needs.

Hi Rosiet, I don't know what I did to the crazy foot. It only hurts when it flexs. The stiffer I keep it while I'm walking the less it hurts. I walked 4 miles today by allowing most of my other foot to handle the weight. I'm still sticking to the diet, because I figure the less I weigh, the less pressure is going to be on the foot. I did twice as much upper body strength training today, because I felt bad about not getting to do my usual full workout. I'm a lot slower now. Until it gets better, I guess that's how its going to be. Tomorrow is my TOPS chapter meeting. Maybe some of the other members have had to deal with stuff like this too. They might know something I don't about how to deal with it. Some people there face other challenges, but as a group we're doing OK. I'm thinking about riding my horses tomorrow morning. Giving them leg cues is good for the inner thighs and posture, and since two of the horses are quite large, there is a lot of grooming to be done. It is supposed to be our only sunny day since forever. I hope it is nice where you are too.

Yes, I missed one week's weigh in. I was having my flooring restored, and all the furniture was temporarily moved into my kitchen, along with lots of vapors and dust. I had to go out to eat, and that is pretty hard for me depending where we go. I'm hypothyroid. It was cold and wet outside, and I couldn't do my regular aerobic workout in my house. The well pump to the barn died, and my stove ran out of propane while all this was going on. We had to try to load a bull onto the trailer truck and he didn't want to go. Ugh!!!! I got frustrated and lost it. You know that part about "I will not let my emotions control me"? My tops friends were very helpful and encouraged me. WE are starting a new challenge. I am back on track with the diet now and did my usual workout today, a four mile walk/run that burned 620 calories followed by strength training. I hope to do it again tomorrow, and hopefully lose one pound throughout the week. That should give me an incentive to get through to the end of the month. Somedays it seems like one day at a time. It will take awhile to get it off. I did see the importance of holding it together under fire. When the dust settled, literally, I was able to see the consequences! Have you ever had to "restart" yourself? And if so, how did you do it? Do herbal detox/natural fiber cleansers help at all in getting the metabolism back?

Rosie, i am so happy to see you are UNDER 150...and i'm sure your ticker will keep moving to the right until it hits the goal...so long as you remain committed...it will happen.
Good stuff.
P.S...I actually don't even know when i may have last weighed in the 140's...i suppose public school...definitely not highschool...and definitely not in my adult life! emoticon

Hi Rosie.
I met you over on the TOPS web site, and when you talked about the Spark with Rootball, I had to come over and see for myself. I absolutely love this site, and I thank you very much for mentioning it. I have lost 10 pounds already. The fitness and nutrition trackers here are great tools. I'm so glad you were on that night. I hope you reach your goal and enjoy your chapter meetings.
Kimmie
