Welcome to Spark People. I have been a member for almost 2 months and love it.
Like you, I don't want to "diet". I use the nutrition tracker religiously and I am slowly losing weight. I love almost all food and portion control was not part of my vocabulary and I felt guilty for not eating everything on my plate.
The biggest thing for me has realizing just how many calories are in the foods I eat. I didn't want to give up foods that I like so I am learning to make better choices. For instance I love Taco Johns but instead of getting a super nachos and a huge Coke I now might get a Taco Bravo and a water or diet soda. Starbucks is another favorite but instead of getting a Venti (the largest) White Chocolate Mocha with whip cream I now order a Tall (small) Non-Fat White Chocolate Mocha still with whip cream. Switching to non-fat shaved off about 100 calories. I could shave off a few more if I dropped the whip cream but I like it so I still order it.
I have also learned that a Snicker's bite tastes just a good as a king sized bar, probably better since I am not overdosing on chocolate.
I encourage you to use the nutrition tracker, at least for now. It is an eye opener!
I am still looking for motiviation to exercise so I don't have any advice there. I did however sign up for the 100 push up challenge and the 200 sit up challenge. I am kind of excited about those so we will see what happens.
