My weight loss journey has been quite a ride to say the least. When I was in college I weighed as much as 262 and was not loving the way I looked or felt. It was a long road, but over the course of 10+ years, I slowly dropped weight while improving my eating habits and fitness. Eventually, I reached by weight goal of 160 lbs and many of my fitness goals including running my first half-marathon. When I was at my healthiest, I found out that my husband and I were expecting our first child. Even though I exercised throughout my pregnancy, I still gained quite a bit of weight. Now that our little one has arrived, I'm hoping to drop the baby weight and get back into fighting shape. A happy and healthy me is my ultimate goal. It will help me be the kind of mother, wife, and Ph.D student I want to be.
