My weight loss journey
My name is Rose. I'm 61 and over the past 10 years or so have found myself in a position I never thought I would be in-- overweight! I had always been underweight, weighing around 100 until I started menopause and my metabolism started to slow down and my weight started going up until now I weigh 155, which might not seem like alot to a taller person, but on someone who is 5' 1 1/2" it is a big deal. So, now I need to get motivated to lose weight in a healthy way and get the exercise I need ...

I had always been underweight, weighing around 100 until I started menopause and my metabolism started to slow down and my weight started going up until now I weigh 155, which might not seem like alot to a taller person, but on someone who is 5' 1 1/2" it is a big deal. So, now I need to get motivated to lose weight in a healthy way and get the exercise I need to tone my problem areas-- belly, butt, and thighs. I walk occasionally but not enough to do much good. I just need motivation to stick with it and make it a habit. I have been trying to practice portion control, using the plate method, but I still stray from that occasionally. I need motivation with that too. I just want to eventually get to a weight that is more healthy for my height.
