To Lose or Not to Lose

I was cast about a year and a half ago in a six-part web series adaptation of Hamlet as the Dane herself (himself, usually, but in our version, Hamlet is female). After several attempts to get the project off the ground, we've finally launched a Kickstarter to try to raise the money to make it happen.

After several attempts to get the project off the ground, we've finally launched a Kickstarter to try to raise the money to make it happen.

I'm terrified and excited at the same time, and I want to make sure I do the character justice. For some reason, in my mind, this means slimming down a bit. My doctor recently told me that my BMI is high, though I look good and am generally healthy (cholesterol of 117, good blood pressure, etc.), in large part because I am vegan. I just tend to eat too much.

I'm also in a play at the moment about the roller derby, which has me back on a bit of a fitness kick. It feels good to skate three times a week, and I'm hoping I can hold onto that motivation to stick with a regular exercise plan, even after the show closes.

Hi, I loved your post about fitting exercise into small increments. You've inspired me, and now everybody at my grocery store is going to have to deal with me in the check-out line, too. I'm used to dealing with that, though. I'm the one at the gym who actually 'dances' on the elliptical when certain songs come on, and have been known to even sing, sometimes!

I'm a musician, too, so I've added you as a friend. Hope to share more Spark ideas with you, going forward!
