Willing to Work!!!

Just read over my page since a new year is upon us!! My statement below could not be more true!! One giant goal for me that I accomplished was a Half MArathon!!

Decided to update this page and bring in a new year(2012) with a renewed determination!!
I want this to be the year of change for the better~better health, better fitness and a better weight and like my title page says I've got to be "Willling to Work" I titled this page back in 2008 when I originally joined~it ...

I want this to be the year of change for the better~better health, better fitness and a better weight and like my title page says I've got to be "Willling to Work" I titled this page back in 2008 when I originally joined~it couldn't be more true today then way back then!! So here's to a great year with Spark!

Some of my favorite quotes:
"Run when you can, walk when you have to, crawl if you must, just never give up." Dean Karnazes I LOVE this quote!

"For everyone who thought I couldn't do it...
For everyone who said I shouldn't do it..
For everyone who said I didn't have it in me...
See ya at the finish line!" (this was from Coach Nancy)

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is."

"There isn't an obstacle big enough or strong enough that won't budge, if we just keep pushing it long enough..."

It is NEVER too late to become what you might have been!" - George Eliot

To get something you've never had you must do something you've never done."

"The great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in five words: 'I did not have time.'"

Nutrition is such an important part of the weight loss equation and should be taken just as serious, if not more so than exercise~ Jensfitjourney

During the raceI I was wondering why I had chosen to do this, but the moment I crossed that finish line I knew why.

Thanks, Rose! I'm eyeing March 23 for the next one.
What about you? Are you interested in doing another?

The thing I discovered about Paleo is that there are different.... uhh.... "versions" or "trains of thought"???? It really frustrated me at first because I am a "black or white" type of thinker so coming across different information really bothered me.

Basicly, I am not strict about it, at least while starting out. It is mostly meats, veggies, and some fruit. Eggs! No wheats or grains... like rice, pasta, beans, bread, etc.... No dairy.

My suggestion would be just to google it and look at different websites. For me it was fairly easy to follow. I am horribly lactose intolerant so cutting the dairy was fine. The wheat was ok.... just happy I found some great subs for some of my favorite things.

I am feeling a lot better! Let me know if you get real interested in it...

hahaha....if only I knew what I did differently....I did have 5 weeks off of work though, and just went back about 3 weeks ago, so that may have a little to do with it, cause I've been non stop ever since!
