Starting over

Here's a quote I found on someone elses page that I thought was so motivating on a day that wasn't so great. So please forgive me for using someone elses quote, but here it is:

"Expect to be hungry. Embrace it. Know the feeling. And, at the exact moment you think you cannot go on, remember that it is at that very second that you are LOSING THE FAT you so desperately want to have gone from your life."

Starting over again. I want to be healthy! I also want to be able ...

My Goals:
I want to be a sexy mama, not just a mommy.

To be able to go to a store and shop in the regular size clothes, and buy cute clothes, not just clothes that fit.

AND, I want to be able to run around and play with my granddaughter and be around to see her grow up!

My Program:
I love Turbo Jam!!! I'm trying to slowly work my way into exercise. Its been awhile since I've been serious about it. About 8 months to be exact. I know I can do it because I've done it before.

I am teaching myself to eat smaller meals, more often, and to cut out lots of carbs, because I eat way to many carbs!

Joining sparkpeople.com to keep me motivated!

Personal Information:
I'm from Michigan. I have a loving husband, 3 children (20,17,13), and a 2 year old granddaughter. I also have a yorkie-mix named Daisy.

I am very involved in my church. I love to sing. My family is very involved in our praise team at church. It's lots of fun!!

Other Information:
I love to read! My favorite books are the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling. But I love to read historical fiction!!!

I also LOVE Music of all kinds, especially Christian music! Music keeps me MOVIN'!

Hello Rosanne! Thank you for your gift! I know I'm late responding, but I haven't been on in a while, so I didn't see it until now Sorry!!!
It's funny, when I checked out your page, I , too, noticed that we have a lot in common. By the way, I sang in the church choir a few years (quite a few!) back! Also, I love to read and have read all of the Harry Potter books. Right now my reading is the Bible and Bible study books more than anything else, as God has been pulling at my heart more than ever before, and I'm trying to obey!
I'm also trying to get my weight loss back on track, because I think that in a year or so I might be a mother of the bride and I really don't want to be the fat mama at the wedding! I've got the Holy Spirit in my corner, so I'm in for the ride. He can make it happen, if you just trust and have faith. Good luck to you, Rosanne, and may God fill you with His Spirit!
God Bless,
Lori (simountainhigh) emoticon

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I usually do track my food; in fact, that's the reason I brought the laptop with us when we went out of town. But considering the week was a retreat, I decided I didn't need the aggravation of trying to track foods I don't usually eat. I would just eat what I wanted to eat, within reason, and be sure to exercise. That worked pretty well. Now that I'm home, I'm back to tracking, which is, I agree, the key to success.

Hi Roseanne. I am new to this so I hope I am responding to your cry for help. I just started yesterday so I am feeling that need too. I looked at your page. You have had successes. You can do this. Pray, pray, pray for the strength to do it. That's what I've been doing (for a whole three days) because I don't think I can do it in my own strength. But God can do anything. I've added you as a friend and hope we can keep each other going. ((())) emoticon

HI!!! How are things??
March and April didn't go as planned, pregnancy wise... but we had our baby girl (photos already uploaded in my photo album... I'm a really proud mama) and I'm really excited to be back on SP. I can't go to the gym yet, but that doesn't mean I can't be proactive with my health. I restarted all my SP goals.
So how are things? what have you been up to???
