When I joined SparkPeople, my starting weight was 150 pounds, which--at 5'5''--made me overweight. My target weight is 130, which would put me precisely in the middle of the healthy weight range for my height.
**My SparkPeople weight-loss goal is currently to WEIGH 130 POUNDS by JUNE 27.**
-Cardio workout 6 days a week
-Strength training for arms and legs every other day
-Fridays are days off
-Weigh-ins every Monday
-Track daily calories burned and weekly weigh-ins on SparkPeople
-Track calories consumed each day on SparkPeople
-Pay attention to serving sizes and exercise portion control
-Plan low-calorie snacks so that I'm well prepared when I get hungry
-Don't snack mindlessly
-Reward myself in a small (non-food) way for every 5 pounds lost
-Reward myself in a bigger way for every 10 pounds lost
-Reward myself well when I achieve my final weight-loss goal!
I'm a vegetarian, a dog-lover, a professional cake decorator and novice baker, an artist, a writer, a Little Monster, and an eternal optimist.
I hate working out and I love to eat, so none of this has been easy for me. But I'm tired of feeling uncomfortable in my body, and I know the end result will be worth all the hard work and sacrifice!
