My name is Krystal. I'm 35. I am a stay-at-home mom. I have been married for over 3 years and we live in West Texas. I enjoy cooking, digital scrapbooking, movies, and running. We have a 14 year old daughter and also a three year old daughter. My goals are weight loss and an overall lifestyle change. I am hoping to lose 29 pounds by July 4, 2009.

The heaviest I've ever weighed was 151 lbs. I didn't even weigh that much when I was 9 months pregnant. I have a petite body frame with some problem areas. I've always had problems with my thighs and butt area but it wasn't until after the birth of my second daughter in 2006 that I started having problems in my abdominal region. I was never happy about it but like most people, I wasn't doing anything about it. My father, 57 years old at the time, had a massive heart attack in Sept 08 and almost died. Then my mother, 55 years old at the time, succumbed to her cancer in Nov 08. It was a combination of these events that have spurred me to change my lifestyle.

I knew that the only way I was going to lose weight was to exercise and eat less and better food. For exercise, I chose running because I have a treadmill. My sister introduced me to the C25K program in January 09. I had not been a runner since high school, where I had competed in cross country and track. I knew that I had loved running at one time but this time, I didn't feel the same way about running. I felt it was more a means to an end. Never, in my wildest dreams, did I think that I was going to be reborn again... that running would engulf me like it has... and that I would entertain such thoughts as being a marathon runner!
