I need to lose 50lbs so that I can have hip surgery and to enjoy the rest of my life.
I enjoy the country life style,books(own10,000 plus)recently downsized. so my books and I now reside in a 10x50 ft mobile home in the high desert of California. I recently retired from the Probation Department after 26 years of working with troubled teens. I love Pine Trees,Books, animals,Books, movies,bingo,books, Indian Casinos,books and more books1I have so many books i had to start selling them on ...
I need to lose 50lbs so that I can have hip surgery and to enjoy the rest of my life.

I love Pine Trees,Books, animals,Books, movies,bingo,books, Indian Casinos,books and more books1I have so many books i had to start selling them on line to support my book habit. My dream is to see a real live moose!,I went to yellow stone in June and all the moose hid from me!

I had double Hip-Replacement surgery .The fright hip April 1st and the second June 3rd.I regained 20 plus pounds staying at my sister's house.I spent most of the time lying on my bed reading.
I had to use a walker and had a lot of trouble getting around.
By October,I was able to walk without a walker or cane.
I started hiking on the local Rez and BLM land.Dirt roads and hills. Last week I walked 3 miles in the Calif.heat.I wanted to vomit and my hips hurt but I did it anyway.Of course I complain the whole time,but I'm proud of myself when the torture is over.
My goal is 6 miles then we will see what to conquer.

I live in the mountains of Southern Calif. with my 25 year old son, Beagle Bailey. and Sofia a feral kitten who really did follow me home a few months ago,and
Dolce the spoiled cat when ever he is evicted from daughter's apt.(daughter presently in Afghanistan)I have over 10,000 plus books (I had to start selling on line to support my habit)We live in a crowded 10x50 ft moblie home.I had to down size when I retired.I also love Bingo,and Indian Casinos.Camping, mountains and falling down shacks.
