Look who's back!

I can't believe that I started Spark People in 2010. It looks like I bounced back in here in 2012 but that was a short stay!.. Well it is time again to recharge myself and my mind on how to stay healthy for good.. My health actually has been very good. The weight didn't all come back but it inched up there slowly. I realize what I need is to learn more about healthy choices. And to use our trackers. I have not done well with thinking off the top of my head :) So here I am back again and ...

My Goals:
To walk 3+ miles a day 5 days a week.
To always reach for the healthy choices.
To write in my gratitude journal every day.

To do a good cardio work out during the day and a nice yoga workout before going to bed at night 5x a week

My Program:
I will track my food everyday.

I will write in my journal each day.

I am working towards a healthy heart and to improve my circulation.

I do the walking videos and I am considering ordering some dance videos. The goal is to be strong and healthy so I can be more active during the warmer months

My name is Ronie.
I live in Oregon with my Husband. My children are grown. I enjoy getting together with family and friends. My husband and I love to cook and I am pouring over the SparkRecipes to find some good healthy choices that he will love to!

We moved to the beach in 2004 and love it. We bought a house and have been having a wonderful time fixing it up and writing down great ideas for future projects

Other Information:
I like to do things with my hands. I like to crochet. I taught myself thread and filet crochet I also taught myself to knit 'Something' about 4 years ago. I have made my socks that I wanted to do and I learned to use DPN's then I am glad that I did.. because now I am knitting beautiful lace and enjoy that more than anything. I knit and crochet evenly.. I usually have one or two projects going at a time in each of those crafts

I have a long list of foods I hate. Thankfully most things on the list are things that aren't really good for you but some things are.

McDs salads are some of the best as their dressings are better and the lettuce is usually not wilted. They use mixed greens instead of the plain old iceberg but I totally agree about the grilled chicken, it's weird. The problem is I don't think they cook things there any more. They just warm up everything in those floating water trays. Ick, It's difficult to get anything healthy and tasty in the fast food realm.

My fear is that he is right and my daily carb intake will be something gruesome like 20gms. LOL. He has never mentioned going that low but has said 150 was way too much for me. I tend to want to stay on the high side so I have more options like beans occasionally.

My doctor says that feeling goes away when ones carb intake is right. My problem is I don't want to be real low carb.

I've been told the same things about getting up and reading or moving around and it sounds like I'm like you in that regard...I just lay there annoyed until it fixes itself lol. I tried the wine and it just kept me even more alert! Ugg! Oh well, things could be much worse :) Thanks again and have a great evening!
