Hi, I'm Jan and I desparately need to loose about 50 lbs in a safe, healthy and non-fad way.

What you just read was my original introduction. Although I still stick by my original statement, I feel a need to update it.

I'm not here just for the weight. I truly want to have a healthy lifetstyle in order to see my children's children grow into lovely men and women.

By the grace of the LORD above, my dh, Gary, and our two teenagers, Brittany and Brandon are very supportive. It is for them that I want to have a successful journey.

Thank you for stopping by. I pray that any influences you have from your visit are positve and uplifting. So, just sit right back, fasten your seat belt: it's gonna be one heck of a ride!

Another update: The above was written about 1 1/2 years ago...I lost my focus and, for all practical purposes, gave up. But, becasue of my adult step-daughter, I am committed once again to make me healthier. I know what to do; I just need to get off my duff and do it! And I will!

My Goals:
My goals are to lose 50 lbs in a healthy, natural way and to modify my lifestyle that they stay off. I also want to be off the blood pressure meds.


My Program:
I am eating a modified low-carb diet. I am limiting my intake of breads/pasta/potatoes but still eating all veggies and fruits. I am using as much natural foods as possible.



Personal Information:
I currently live in Temple, TX with Gary, my dh, our 2 teenage children, & 2 dogs. I stay at home and home educate the children. We are active in 4-H activities and are professional volunteers.
