New Beginnings With Crossfit

I am back after a 2 year hiatus, and ready to create a new me and inspire others in the process! I am a 37 year old, single-mother of two awesome children with an amazing fiance who is ready for a New Beginning as far as my health and fitness are concerned. I have allowed my weight to skyrocket to 190lbs, which is completely embarrassing for a Crossfit Instructor. Yes, I got certified almost 3 years ago and began working as a Crossfit Coach about 1 year ago and still have let myself gain weight. I do not make time to workout for myself (I also work a 2nd job as a Missionary in an inner-city ministry) and I have made extremely poor food choices. My body is paying the price. In addition to weight gain, I have pain in my back, knees and feet, I have chronic acid reflux, I don't sleep well and I get sick often and have trouble getting rid of infections. I am pretty sure that I am insulin resistant and leptin resistant which are all related to my poor food choices. But, I refuse to accept this for my life any longer. With the help of SparkPeople, I plan to change my eating habits by following the Whole30 program and I plan to practice what I preach by Crossfitting at least 3 times per week. I look forward to updating you on all of the healthy changes that WILL be taking place in my body and mind!

HELLO! :)
Well, my summer was not a success (w/ weight loss), but it was fun! :) How about you? Did you send Both babies off to school this year? Sad to see my baby off, but I still have my little guy at home!

I have thought about you a lot and hope that you are well. I miss your support and would love to reconnect! :) Maybe we can inspire each other? HUGS.

Hey! Can't wait to hear and see the new # today (it's Monday!).

How did your 1/2 go? Sorry for not getting to you til now...no excuses, but we have a lot going on. I did not get to Chicago for the race...there must be a reason I'm not supposed to "do this one". The day before the race, Madeline had an accident and hit her head. She had to get 7 sutures on her cutie little face. LONG story, but, I wasn't about to drag her w/ OR leave her behind!

I've been doing OK with my "lifestyle"; I am not real focused, but still not out of control. I wish I could find more time to log on SP. With that said, I may not have mentioned it, but my husband started a new job about 4 weeks ago and he now travels about 1 hour each way to the new hospital! URGH. He leaves early and gets home late! We have also decided to list our house soooooooo, I'm sure you get it. I'm just making sure to find the time to run!!!!

Have a wonderful day!
