Maintaining A Healthy Lifestyle

Well, here I am after being a Sparker for over 2 years and really proud of the changes I have made. I have reached my original weight goal of 130 lbs and am now working on losing another 10. I am also working on toning up all my muscles.

I have found that the friends I have made made on this site have been really inspiring and helping me along on my journey.

It's Friday! Time for a little humor, and to get happy!

They say we learn from our mistakes.
That must be why I keep making so many of them.
Soon, I’ll be a genius!
Hope your Friday is filled with happiness!

emoticon I'm not even going to pretend I tried to eat healthy at the Cheesecake Factory. It is not available anywhere near where we live, so we indulged and enjoyed every bite!

"Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tiptoe if you must, but take a step." ~ Naeem Callaway

Progress is progress, and all is good as long as it's forward movement. It doesn't have to be "physical movement", because it can also include all the positive choices we make in our day, and that's definitely a step in the right direction. So don't get discouraged - just keep choosing what you think is right for you - right in this moment.

In keeping with the theme of this week’s Friday Happy Hour blog:

Finally, the woman saw someone, who was loaded with packages, heading for a car. She patiently followed him, put on her blinker and waited patiently until he pulled out. Just as he pulled out a young man in a sleek black Porsche zipped in to the space ahead of her. She was dumbfounded and outraged.

Then the women jumped out of her car shouting, "How could you do that? Didn't you see me waiting there with my signal on?"
He replied, "That's what happens when you're young and fast."

As the young man was about to enter the store he heard the hideous crunch of metal striking metal. He ran back, horrified, to see that the woman had gunned her Mercedes and smashed it right into his beautiful black Porsche.

He ran back and cried, Oh my God! How could you do that?"
She smiled and said, "That's what happens when you're old and rich!"

Moral of the story: Old age and treachery will always beat youth and exuberance.

Enjoy your weekend!
