My Goals:
My goals are to eat healthy and exercise on a regular basis. This is my first attempt ever at attempting to change my lifestyle and look forward to the rewards this change will bring. I have always "known" what I needed to do but never used this knowledge. I am now using this knowledge and learning so much more!

My Program:
I joined SparkPeople.com on December 2009 and it has to be one of the best decisions I have ever made! I love using the food and exercise trackers and enjoy reading the online articles and blogs. I am not on a diet rather I have made a lifestyle change (for the better!)

Personal Information:
My name is Raul. I am married to my beautiful wife, Karen, and have two beautiful children, Wendy and Adam. I owe my wife a huge debt of gratitude for "pushing" me to change my life and want to thank her publicly. Thank you very much Karen. I love you!

Other Information:
I received an Apple I-Touch for my last birthday. I love it! Listening to music while I exercise is awesome. Music lifts me and gives me the push to exercise as hard as I can!

I guess you are probably right. It just feels that as heavy as I am that I "should" be shedding a little quicker. My goal is 2 per week which is the most a person "should" lose (healthy rate). You've made me feel much better about my efforts!

Although I am still going to try a few tweaks here and there, but maybe I'll introduce them one at a time instead of all at once.

My head tends to instinctively want to categorize things, so it really helps me to reach my goals when I can break it down like that. And I do better with praise the an criticism, so knowing another praise is right around the corner is very inspirational for me. :-)
