Weight Of The World

I've been working out and eating healthy for a while now and taking a health course in school really motivated me to make some changes to my lifestyle. I want to reduce my risk of diseases when I'm older and I want to be fit, in shape, and happy while I make my way through life.

My Goals:
I want to tone up my midsection a little bit and tone up my triceps. I love to run, so I want to improve my running pace and endurance so I can go for longer runs in the summertime.

My Program:
Go to the gym 4-5 times a week, and yoga once a week.
I portion my meals out and try to eat every 3 hours to avoid binges later on at night.
I stick to lean meats like fish and chicken, drink 8 cups of water a day and try to consume some antioxidants like green tea and pomegranates.

Personal Information:
I'm from Vancouver, Canada, and am a university student in Burnaby.
I am studying Communications and am currently trying to figure out where I would like to channel my studies in order to obtain a career job.

Other Information:
I love art and design.

I love to read in the summer and winter holidays (no time during school).

I love the outdoors and to be active!

I love fashion.

Hi!
Well I hadn't weighted myself since before the holidays and when I finally did I had gained 3 pounds!! that's because i wasn't really watchig what i was eating. Anyway, I decided to set a more realistic goal of 120 pounds by April 17 (my brother's wedding) and now with patience and exercise I'm starting all over again. I've been doing well for the last couple of days.

I see that you're at 120 and you're only 5 pounds away from reaching yor goal. Congratulations on your success and I hope that with hard work I get to be as sucessful as you have!!!

Hi! I just noticed your comment on my page today-still a little new to sparkpeople-

HIIT stands for high intensity interval training-means you alternate your speed on the treadmill or other equipment-usually between moderate intensity and high intensity

My suggestions-
Do HIIT with most cardio
Incorporate new exercises
Jump roping
Tae Bao or kickboxing
Spinning

Before I hurt my knee I found those exercises to be most effective. Now I only do spinning, elliptical and I walk on the treadmill at 15% incline emoticon

Do you have any tips for me?
