New Beginnings

My name is Robin, I am 56 years old. I've been married to my first husband for 38 years, we have two beautiful children, 7 gorgeous grandchildren and 1 precious great-grandchild (yes a great-grandchild). I am retired and volunteer two days a week in our church office.

In 2002 I weighed 128 lbs. I developed osteoarthritis in my knees and back problems that have plagued me all of my life suddenly became worse and affected my day to day activities. I was put on two different ...

In 2002 I weighed 128 lbs. I developed osteoarthritis in my knees and back problems that have plagued me all of my life suddenly became worse and affected my day to day activities. I was put on two different medications that I later found out causes weight gain. In a matter of months I had put on so much weight that my clothes no longer fit. This is my New Beginning to develop a healthier life style.

My Goals:
My goal is eat healthy and track my food intake everyday, to exercise daily (yoga, weight bearing exercises) and cardio 3-4 days a week.

My Program:
I am practicing yoga & meditation daily, doing one 20 minute combined workout from The Spark Fit, Firm & Fired up DVD three times a week, doing the 10 minute workout from SparkPeople cardio blast DVD: Walk it out workout three days a week and walking at least 1 mile two days a week.

I completely understand about losing a few pounds and gaining back. I noticed that your start and goal weights are very similar to mine. I also noticed that you are on board for losing 20 pounds by 9/30. I am also doing this challenge. I think it will be fun to keep up with this challenge and see how we're all doing!
