Well it did not happen - I did not make goal by 50, but I'm hoping to get back on track so I'm at lest attempting to get to goal while I'm in my 50!

I am going to TOPS and I realize I have to journal my food and go with a support group to hold myself accountable.

I grew up in Michigan, and now live in Washington State. I have 2 kids one teenage DD, and one (almost a teen) ram bunches DS. I have been married for over 20 years; he’s a great guy who's loved me through thick and thin (wish I could say the same thing - not to happy with myself right now). So here we go Best of luck to all of you! I hope we’ll all make it to the healthier selves!

My Goals:
To be alive and active, so someday I can spoil my children’s children! Ok, I also have a little vanity and would like to be fit so I can look sexy when I hit the big 50!


My Program:
Track calories everyday. Watch PORTION CONTROL! Exercise at lest 3 days a week. Cut Alcohol out of the weekday diet.

Catch yourself

The moment you feel yourself slipping, take action right away to get back on track. If you catch yourself quickly, you won't fall very far.

It's great when you can stay disciplined and focused for long periods of time. At some point though, you'll get distracted and stray a little bit off course.

That's not the end of the world. Don't beat yourself up just because you've momentarily lost your focus.

Instead, give genuine thanks for how far you've already come. And then step right back on to the path you've set for yourself.

Being disciplined doesn't mean being perfect. Remember that what really matters is what you choose to do right now.

Even if you slip back one step for every two steps you take forward, you'll still be moving steadily ahead. Catch yourself, get back up, keep going and you'll get there.

    Where I am over on the west side of the state (near Bremerton) we're not having a problem with the firers. Thank you for your concern. I've been very pleased with TOPS since I've started. I know the group meetings are something that holds me accountable. I hope this is what will help me truly change my mind set and keep the weight loss going. :)

    The Trick or Treaters will be out this weekend. Remember your Weight Watchers POINTS values and check to see if you have what it takes to indulge before you begin to nibble. Are the treats really worth it or will you be setting yourself up for a gain at the scale? You're worth taking care of ... even on a holiday full of candy and treats!
