Thanks for posting on my blog and for the nice comment on my picture. I appreciate the compliment. :)
We are no longer living on the farm. We have grandkids now and it's 3 hours from them. We moved back to the city and visit the farm from time to time. We love it there, but that's not where my heart is. Grandchildren completely changed everything!
We are lucky that we do have an acre lot and we manage to grow things here, too. We have a vegetable garden and a large herb garden, two citrus trees and some not yet bearing banana trees. We have a few pineapple plants, but they give us just one, rarely two a year. They're incredibly good. Right now we're only have okra coming in along with the occasional habanero pepper and lemon. The lemons and oranges will be in full swing before we know it. The garden also has shallots growing in it right now. We also have plans for an asparagus bed and I want to plant some muscadine grapes and build an overhead trellis for vining vegetables like militon (vegetable pear.) The rest of our garden will be tilled this evening and we'll plant some fall garden vegetables and greens.
Do you have place to plant anything? I have a facebook friend that has an incredibly productive garden in a very small space. 1971 days ago
