What a small world! Just HAD to come by & say "Hi!" I saw your post on "Happy Hippies" about the love in & saw the picture of Jackson Square! I spent many a Sunday afternoon there drinkin' wine & singing songs. I left N.O. long before Katrina, but it breaks my heart every time I think of it. My brother is there now visiting his Grands & Great-grands. No one lives "in the city" anymore. I live in Daytona Beach & love it here but New Orleans will always be my home (at least in my heart!) I'm a retired nurse, my first job was at East Jeff General in ICU & once upon a time my Mom worked at Charity Hospital. Blessings, glenda 2561 days ago
Hi! Thank you for reading & commenting on my blog! I purchased this book (Never Say Diet) from amazon.com, they have great deals on books most of the time. Keep me posted! Chris 2758 days ago
Being a Katrina Survivor sucks at length but I keep the faith by telling myself, three out of five children may have moved to other states, but at least none of us lost our lives.
It seems that a large number of my friends who stayed in New Orleans during the storm are physically ill. One of our coworkers just passed away last week. The doctors all say its due to pre-existing conditions, but, hmmm, the conditions did not appear until the storm cleared ... We will never know.
However on a cheerier note, congrats on your weight loss and keep on posting on the Big Easy Team, we need ya!
