Never Too Old to Lose

At 75, I'm active, teach the Bone Builder's Osteoporosis exercise class twice a week, but need to really work hard on cardio to help peel off some of the excess around my mid-section. I have drawers full of exercise videos, but they don't work if you don't make the effort! :) I fell last spring and broke my femur, so was hospitalized and then in rehab for a short time. Added 3/8" shoe lift to even out my legs, but my feet are so horrible that walking isn't fun. I can't have any more ...

Added 3/8" shoe lift to even out my legs, but my feet are so horrible that walking isn't fun. I can't have any more operations to fix hammertoes, etc., so try to pad the crooked and hammered toes, but it's often painful, especially with taking shoes off, putting on boots for the snow, back to shoes, etc. I've just had cataracts removed from both eyes and can see bright colors and don't need glasses! What a miracle operation that is - 10 minutes! Now I need to get serious again about getting the lard off - for good!

Don't forget that wheel chair exercises can be great cardio workouts :) I know you are not in one, but it might save your feet :)

Rachel, I am so sorry about your fracture and I do hope you heal good! Don't worry about coming in to sparks, just get better!
