Hi Everybody! In October of 2011, I started my Spark journey and managed to lose 25 pounds. I maintained for about 4-5 months, and then slowly, pound by pound, it crept back. I've still incorporated outdoors, exercise, and nutrition in my life, but obviously not enough! Example: I love to eat healthful foods, unfortunately I also love to eat non-healthful foods! I love to exercise, but I also love to curl up with my blanket and watch Hulu!

I finally can't ignore the scale, mirror, the way my clothes fit, or most importantly, the way I feel. Time to get back at it!

My Goals:
To get back to a healthy BMI

To re-achieve my goal weight of 130 pounds

To get back into running, beginning with a 5k race which is on Thanksgiving Day

My Program:
Being active outdoors, gym workouts, Ripped in 30 (Jillian Michaels) workouts, and yoga classes. As of right now, no specific order or overall program, just trying to improve my overall health and fitness and also enjoy myself a bit

Personal Information:
My husband of four years is my rock, my family (including 5 younger brothers) are also very important to me. I love helping with people. I work in physical therapy and love every bit of it.

Other Information:

    exactly! I just wanted to go crawl in a corner and hide... instead I worked out lol ;-) I'm trying to start doing that. I'm trying to remind myself that if I'm feeling down, don't get chocolate, work out. It's the emotional eating that probably has gotten me here... It's just so hard to work out instead of eat... ugh

    I enjoyed your blog! I read either the same or a similar article you did, about previous TBL contestants. One participant talked about stress fractures and other injuries suffered because of the demands of exercise routines clearly not suitable for the morbidly obese - I cringe when they make these people RUN soon after getting to the ranch! Another said that they were basically on "lock down" - insulated from the outside world, with nothing but time and no responsibilities, and safe from the pressures and temptations of real life. That approach is counterproductive in the long run - a fact proven by how many of them have gained back substantial amounts of weight. After the first season, I stopped watching. The show took on an almost sinister, cut-throat approach to what had originally been a great idea...

    He's definitely going to remember! I'm going to have to get him to keep working out with me too because he needs it! He looks more in shape then he is as evidenced by the light bulb incident lol
