For most of my childhood, I was skinny as a twig. I remember my parents and grandparents having to force me to eat. I was a pretty active kid, so I maintained my thinness until around the beginning of high school. At that time for whatever reason I became mush less active, and started eating A LOT. I remember eating multiple mac and cheese microwave dinners, as just a snack. Fast food became my best friend. I began to not so slowly gain weight, until I was at 240 lbs. I hated the way I looked, and spent my remaining high school years being very self conscious, and avoiding social activities. I graduated from high school in 2002, a very unhappy person.

I started a 2 year technical college in 2003, and at that time began working as a busboy at a local restaurant. This was probably the best thing I ever did in my life, because just from working that job, I lost 60 lbs. I''m 6'' 3", so at 180 I was pretty skinny again. I was able to fit into a size 34 pants, down from the 38 I was wearing. I felt more confident, and even got compliments and attention from the opposite sex, which made me feel great about myself.

However, in 2004 I graduated from college, and started working in the IT field. I had many desk jobs, and went out for lunch every day. Over the next year I had gained a considerable amount of the weight I lost back. 5 years of bad eating, and no exercise later, and I''m at 320 pounds. Even for how tall I am that is obese.

So I know it''s time to do something about my health, before any number of bad things happen to me. I''m also very tired of being disappointed in the way I look, and my clothes being huge but still too tight. I''ve tried to get healthy before, but I usually give up in a very short amount of time. I really hope I can make changes, and stick to them this time. Only time will tell.
