I am 27 years old, overweight, depressed and sooooooooo ready for a change. I am up one day and down the next (emotionally speaking) so you may notice that the color of my page changes depending on my mood.
And by the way, the picure of me and my (now) husband is like 7 years old, don't look like that anymore!!! :-( Oh well

My Goals:
I would like to lose 65-80 pounds by April/May of next year. I want to feel good about myself again. When I met my husband I weighed 145 pounds or at least close to it. Now I am only 70 pounds away from being double that weight. I want to be able to go into the nice brand name stores and not have to ask where the "Plus Size" section is located just to be disappointed that the selection is nill. I also am not gettting any younger and I would like to be able to walk up my steps without being out of breath when I get to the top. I want to just feel good.


My Program:
I am starting slow with small changes. I have dieted enough to know that if I jump into this head first, I will not keep it up. Slow and steady wins the game :-)

My first few goals are incorporate more water, less soda''s and more fruits and veggies. I think that if I can do those for a couple of weeks, I will be on the path to success.



Personal Information:
I am married, have been with my husband for 8 years, married for 3. He has two sons that we have all the time and I have a daughter that lives with her father. I am from Clintwood, VA but now reside in Ridgeway, VA. For you NASCAR fans out there it''s only 10 miles or so from the Martinsville Speedway!!!! I have lived here for 8 years. I like it here but I do miss my home.


Other Information:
I love to read but haven''t had much time here lately. The last book I read was "The Husband". My office kind of has our own book club going on. We share books and then discuss them. I took art (drawing and painting) in high school and was pretty good at it. I would love to take a class again. It was a great stress reliever. I hope to look into a non credit class at the local college in the spring.

    Good goals. Starting small seems to be the key to keeping going. The past 3 weeks or so is the longest I have stuck to any changes I have tried to make for my health in my lifetime. Best of luck and good going so far! Keep positive!

    Thanks so much for the kind words, it means alot. I haven't been on Sparkpeople for about 2 weeks. I'm getting off course, and I know it, but I'm finding it difficult to help myself. Its very frustrating knowing what you are supposed to do, and why you do somethings, but you still can't get ir right!
    I wish you great success on the lifestyle change, it's worked for me, I (we) just have to keep at it.
